Felipe Moraes, former partner and head of the Arbitration practice at Azevedo Sette Advogados, has launched Felipe Moraes Advogados, a boutique firm in Brazil dedicated to arbitration and strategic dispute resolution. The firm is designed to serve companies, executives, shareholders, and investors in complex domestic and international arbitrations and litigation.
The firm’s practice covers arbitration, strategic negotiations, mediation, and pre-litigation advisory, as well as support in post-M&A contract management, the drafting of dispute resolution clauses, specialized legal opinions, and corporate legal counsel. Key sectors of focus include mining, steel, energy, agribusiness, construction, and infrastructure, with matters spanning shareholder disputes, M&A transactions, and commercial and public contracts.
Beyond his dispute resolution practice, Felipe Moraes also serves as an arbitrator in complex proceedings before arbitration chambers, and works as a legal opinion provider, expert witness on Brazilian law, and advisor on corporate and governance matters. He is a professor at IBMEC in the fields of Arbitration, Corporate Law, Business Law, and Corporate Governance, and holds qualifications geared toward serving on Boards of Directors.
